2012 Crappie fishing at Codorus Hanover, PA

We spent 4 hours fishing the shore line of Codorus state park last night (3/18/2012). We managed to come home with
Jake's 1st fish of 2012
(right pic) two reel nice Crappies 13.5 inches long and two just under 10 inches. The crappies appeared to be starting their search for shallow water last night and we were kicking our selves in the butt because we didn't have any live minnows to fish with.  Not only are the crappies moving to the shallows, we also caught a glimpse of a Large Mouth Bass coursing around in the shallow water. All in all we had a great time and I say the fish activity at Codorus State Park was spot on for the warm weather that has blessed our regain this spring and as long as the weather stays nice we will continue fishing.
